The aim is to develop a program for the parents to carry out at home.
The course will be modules of 12 sessions over 3 months

Autism treatment for children Dubai: Aims and process
To develop a home-based program with the help of the parents or primary caretaker to carry it out at home.
The child will be given therapy once a week by the professional.
The parents will sit in and will be trained to do each part of the therapy
The goals of the therapy will depend on the evaluation and these will be defined when the therapy package commences. It is an eclectic approach and may include:
- Theraplay
- Lap Play
- Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA)
- Pre-language skills
- Visual strategies/video-modeling/personal booklets
- Daily routine and structure
- Verbal Behaviour
- Language Therapy
- Cognitive Skills
- Symbolic play
- Integrated Play strategies
- PECS – Picture Exchange Communication
Follow up will be done by the social worker
The parents will be given an information and guidance booklet
They will be given step by step guidance for each goal
The parent will also be given materials and assistance in creating child specific materials.

The teaching of these skills will take time and depend on the child and family.
The family will be given tasks to do at home to back up therapy at the clinic.
The parents or caretaker is recommended to do 3 hours of work at home.
Further renewal of the package can be decided on after discussion.
Session: 45 minutes once a week
